The Email Notification System is an integrated Tropics service that automatically sends emails to agents, policyholders, or other contacts when a pre-defined event occurs.
Email requests from different sources are made to the email notification server where they are completed and processed based on email notification set up for the associated email types. For each type of user-defined email, the client can define subject line, email title, an introductory paragraph, and closing paragraph. Variable data from the database can be introduced into these paragraphs using the Tropics data tags.
Email requests are generally made from two sources:
1) pre-programmed events such as an invoice reminder and
2) work management workflow logic.
The pre-programmed events include invoice reminder, pre-cancellation reminder, reported payroll due reminder, ACH posting, and several other reminders. This list is continually expanded as new versions of Tropics are released.
Email notification through the Work Management System offers unlimited possibilities for setting up client-defined logic for creating customized emails. This method allows clients to capture events through the Work Management Tree and test the necessary conditions upon which a customized email can be generated.
