In a response to its continued growth and success in the workers’ compensation technology market, Tropics Software Technologies has announced the intention to expand the company by adding an additional six positions to the organization and is actively searching for new office space to accommodate growth. Having already increased its headcount by 70% in the past four years, these additional jobs reinforce Tropics’ ongoing success in the software industry, even in the face of macro-economic challenges across the nation.
Specifically, Tropics has planned to hire six new employees during the first quarter of 2010. The new hires will focus on helping Tropics continue to serve its client base by providing top-notch client support, effective project management and developing cutting-edge software to ensure the product suite continues to be the premier workers’ compensation system in the nation. The first four positions have already been filled. As additions to the Tropics Breeze team, Gray Young and Dimitar Moev have joined the firm as C# software engineers, and Sarah Mobarekeh as a technical writer/QA . John Dunzik has been brought on as analyst/programmer for Tropics 4 maintenance and enhancements. Tropics continues to actively recruit for the remaining open positions and anticipates continued expansion throughout 2010.

PERMA Goes Live with Updated Policy System
PERMA GOES LIVE WITH UPDATED POLICY AND CLAIMS SYSTEM FROM TROPICS SOFTWARE
Tropics Software Technologies will continue to support PERMA’s ongoing success in providing workers' compensation insurance to New York’s municipal employers.
Public Employer Risk Management Association (PERMA), the largest municipal workers' compensation pool in New York, and Tropics Software Technologies, a national software company specializing in workers' compensation systems, have announced that PERMA has completed a successful upgrade to Version 4.2 of Tropics’ integrated policy and claims administration systems. The new system includes significant advances in Tropics’ integrated policy, billing, and claims applications, as well as advanced agency and policyholder web portals. PERMA will be leveraging some of the new functionality of the system, including centralized contact management, advanced document management and workflow management capabilities, to improve the user experience for its policyholders, agency partners and internal employees. The success of the project has been noted by multiple executives within the PERMA organization, who are excited to be offering new functionality to their user base.

FWCJUA Selects Tropics Software to Support Workers' Compensation Program
Tropics Software Technologies will support FWCJUA's ongoing success in providing workers' compensation insurance to Florida employers.
Sarasota, FL - October 20, 2009 - The Florida Workers' Compensation Joint Underwriting Association (FWCJUA), the provider of workers' compensation insurance to Florida's residual market employers, and Tropics Software Technologies, a national software company specializing in workers' compensation systems, announced today that FWCJUA has selected Tropics to implement its new agency and policy administration systems. FWCJUA will be utilizing the new system to offer agencies additional capabilities, such as more robust web-based application submission, on-line inquiry functionality and integrated document management.
