We consider ourselves extremely fortunate that Rich has decided to join the TST team, and become an integral part of the developmental future of Web Tropics applications.
Additionally, Tropics would also like to welcome two new Product Support Specialists; Amy Dorathy and Shondi Allan.
Amy Dorathy is a newly welcomed member to the Product Support team at Tropics. Amy joins TST with a B.A. in Communications, and an extensive corporate background that includes experience with multiple software conversions, operational and systems training, and technical writing. We are happy that Amy has opted to further her career by joining the Tropics team, and her previous experience has her well suited for the position as a member of the Product Support team.
Shondi Allan is also a welcomed new addition to the Product Support team as a tenured professional with a dynamic and refined skill set, honed by years of multi-industry experience. Shondi’s ambitious drive to learn and advance in the industry of technology, is accompanied by her strength in areas of client relations, software training, and web design. We are simply delighted that Shondi has chosen to further her interest in technology by pursuing a career with Tropics.
We are equally eager to announce the addition of our two newest Business Analyst/QA team members; Michele Sedigh and Ed McAvoy.
Michele Sedigh is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Management Information Systems, and previous experience as both a private contractor and business analyst to various corporate entities including those in the Workers’ Compensation industry. Michele’s new role as Business Analyst will utilize her profound systems and Workers’ Compensation knowledge as an essential part of Tropics 5.0 development. The TST team is enthusiastic as they welcome Michele, and she will undoubtedly contribute a great deal to the future of Tropics.
We also welcome Ed McAvoy, a native Floridian, who recently relocated to Sarasota from Hanau, Germany. Ed and his family resided in Germany for the past three years, while his wife Shelly served as Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. Ed joins the Tropics team with a Masters in Information Science from the University of Florida, and a high level of proficiency and experience in the technology field. We are proud to welcome Ed as a valuable new team member who is dedicated to the goals and initiatives of Tropics, and the development of Tropics 5.0.
In addition, we are happy to announce that Josh Taylor has accepted the offer to become the newest programmer with the Tropics team. Josh is a very civic minded individual, having dedicated much of his adulthood serving the community with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Boys and Girls Club. Josh has a B.A. in Philosophy and Object Oriented Programming, and has allowed his passion for computers to flourish from hobby to career. We are pleased that Josh has chosen to bring his multiple talents to the programming division of Tropics.
Outside of direct new hires, Tropics hired a team of contract programmers through an onshore/offshore IT services company to expedite the development of Tropics 5.0.
