Imaging Solution through ImageRight

Through partnership with ImageRight, Tropics has tightly integrated ImageRight imaging products with Tropics workers' compensation software. ImageRight has selected Tropics for Platinum level certification (the highest level of certification) from ImageRight.

The integration with the imaging products are at three functional levels:

1. Desktop Integration – Provides communication between Tropics and the ImageRight Desktop. Tropics provides an ImageRight button, both on the workers' compensation policy and claims systems. When the button is clicked, the corresponding image file in ImageRight is opened automatically for the user.

2. Imports – Provides ability to import various Tropics generated documents into ImageRight with automatic indexing. Ability to specify indexing information for each type of document in Tropics. This indexing information is easily configurable within Tropics to suit each individual's client’s needs. This feature which is currently available in Tropics Enterprise policy system is being added to the other Tropics systems.

3. Workflow Integration – Provides ability to query Tropics database via ImageRight's workflow scripting step in the Workflow Definer. This allows Tropics customers to access Tropics data from ImageRight workflow to be used for routing criteria within the workflow.

The tight integration between Tropics and ImageRight has created an unparalleled and comprehensive combination of advanced processing features, paperless office, and automated workflow for the joint clients of the two companies and for the future prospects.

AASCIF - American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds
Tropics Software Technologies is an active member of the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds, or AASCIF. The association is composed of workers' compensation insurance companies from 27 different states, plus 10 workers' compensation boards in Canada. In the US, these companies specialize in writing workers' compensation insurance in a single state. Some of these companies operate as private insurance companies, whereas others act as agencies of their respective state governments. .

(RIMS) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management, a professional discipline that protects physical, financial and human resources. Founded in 1950, RIMS represents nearly 3,800 industrial, service, nonprofit, charitable, and governmental entities. The society serves 9,200 risk management professionals around the world.

NCCI - National Council on Compensation Insurance, Inc.
Tropics became involved in this professional organization in 2004. NCCI manages the nation's largest database of workers' compensation insurance information. NCCI analyzes industry trends, prepares workers' compensation insurance rate recommendations, and determines the cost of proposed legislation. Tropics participates in their annual conference.
