  Product Support Specialist - Claims/EDI - Submit a Resume

Tropics Software Technology (TST) is seeking a Product Support Specialist - Claims to join our team to help support the Tropics Software claims and EDI platform. This individual will be an integral part of the TST support team and will be expected to become thoroughly familiar with TST claims and EDI products and the needs of TST clients as they relate to implementing, managing and operating TST products at client sites.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of a 2- year college degree in business, computers, or related experience
  • Processing knowledge of workers compensation claims and Claims EDI including experience with First Notice of Injury and Claims and EDI processing (IAIABC formats) with a carrier, TPA, or claims processing organization in a junior adjuster, adjuster assistant, claims liaison, or claims business analyst capacity.
  • Working knowledge of EDI Release 1, Release 3 following IAIABC Release standards
  • Experience with insurance software or financial software support in a client service environment
  • High level of experience with current versions of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge in utilizing database SQL querying tools including Oracle knowledge
  • Duties within these positions include supporting clients on a day-to-day basis by providing telephone and e-mail support; preparing, testing and documenting software releases; participating in system preparation, installation and on-site training for both new and existing clients.
  • Occasional travel will be required.

    Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of application from design to release.
  • Developing all aspects of n-tier ASP.NET enterprise-level software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
  • Work with a team to design and develop the next generation program while meeting specific deadlines.
  • Contribute to a rapidly growing software framework that utilizes cutting-edge technologies.

    Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years' experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET, and ADO.NET
  • BS degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of solid design and development experience in C# and ASP.NET with an emphases on Microsoft technologies.
  • 2+ years working with SQL (Oracle or SQL Server), including scripts and stored procedures
  • Experience using Visual Studio 2008/2010 and working with Team Foundation Server.
  • Ability to manage and take ownership of work with limited guidance.
  • Highly skilled at meeting deadlines with high quality results.
  • Experience with Microsoft Silverlight is a plus.
  • Experience in building applications for insurance, finance, or banking is a significant advantage.

    Education:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline
  • Microsoft certification strongly preferred.
